The Story So Far

From a first book club to a movement

01

100 Books. One School. A Beginning.

In November 2025, the siblings marked an important milestone — donating 100 books for the inauguration of their first-ever school book club at Dr. Saunders Memorial School in Kintampo, their father's alma mater. The gift launched the club and opened a growing collection of books beyond the regular classroom materials.

02

A Reading Space to Call Their Own

As part of their commitment, the siblings pledged to help the school establish a library cubicle with bookshelves — a dedicated place where children can read, explore, and develop a lasting love for books. And they are not stopping there: more books are being collected and shipped from the United States this year.

03

Building a Culture of Reading

Implemented by Martin Luther Health Training School-Kintampo (MLHTS) with the Ghana Education Service (GES) School Improvement Support Department, the book clubs help children read, discuss what they have learned, ask questions, share ideas, and grow the confidence to express themselves.

04

Learning Through Competition

The siblings also support an annual spelling bee in Kintampo, giving children another way to build vocabulary, confidence, and discipline — turning literacy into an experience worth looking forward to, where academic ability is celebrated and recognized.

Through their book drives, fundraising, and continued commitment, Myra, Mev III, and Xine are proving that you do not have to wait until adulthood to make a difference.

Help Them Reach More Children

Give a book.
Support a child.
Build a future.

The vision is to establish book clubs in more schools, expand school libraries and reading spaces, provide more books, and continue the annual spelling bee. Your donation can help put books into classrooms, create reading spaces, support literacy activities, and give children opportunities to discover what is possible beyond the pages of their textbooks.
